I believe that's a bug in the client @ExMachina - not much can be done at this point. Perhaps give Classic UO a try. You can always check to see if your MR is still active by attempting to cast MR. If it is still active you will get a message telling you so.
The reflect icon is still buggy in CUO. If you have reflect up and the server resets, the icon will disappear even though reflect is still up. The only way to get it back is to strip reflect and re-cast. it might be hard for the client to know the status of your reflect depending on what the server sends to it.
