I was on my way out to tame a ferocious frenzied ostard, when an old man whistled me over. He said his ancestors built the town of Papua and showed me some old tattered blueprints he had in his pack, they would be mine for a ton of holiday coins and platinum, he said! I told him I had some stashed away in an old log not far north of town, as we got closer to the log... I had trusty old Coalt hoove his head in!!! What kind of fool does he take me for? This is what I built, using those exact blue prints: Swamp Shanty: 10x10 two story with front porch Swamp Home: 14x14 L-shape, 2-story with back porch (needs grass roof top) I may also create a 7x7 single floor hut as well. (grass roof top)
Houses look great. But how do you reconcile the no-housing-in-swamps rule: Are you suggesting that these houses, plus regular houses, be placeable in swamps? Or that only these houses be placeable in swamps?
Love it Also someone please delay the event by 10 minutes might not make it for 8 I'm stuck at the opticians for the gf.
My .02... if you could add one or two more designs for swamp housing, that aren't in the exact same bamboo-thatch style, I think there'd be enough variability to make for a nice landscape with the new housing being the only kind allowed in the swamps. For example, tiles like 0x241 and 0x21E1, those sort of green-tinted stone tiles that appear in dungeons. They look kind of mossy, like they'd fit in.
I only took designs from Papua's existing game architecture. I don't want to deviate from that and make something that doesn't "belong". I would probably only make one more 7x7 size hut because swamp area is very cluttered, anything bigger than what I have constructed is most likely not going to fit.
I'm going to use this thread to plug my 'all swamps' rune book at Village of Paws Rune Library. Come see the mires of Sosaria! and a wood shack would be awesome. How about make the doors unlockable?
The real question is, can I target the ground anywhere underneath to purple pot you to death no matter your interior location? Purrrrpfect. Do not limit to swamps. These would look great in the deep jungles as well.
