Magic Trap cannot target doors as it should. Doors were able to be magic trapped both in dungeons and in houses. With the magic trapped dungeon doors, it defeated the open door macro and would make the player stop to 2x Click the door. This was used quite a lot to keep PK's from swarming a spawn point and catching players by surprise. It was also used to trap house doors back in the day. I'd like to see this little bit of UO Accuracy corrected.
I'm also in favor of this. I used to drop tables and magic lock the doors at the Lich Lord room in Deceit in another realm. Seems appropriate to have it here and I'm not seeing much of a reason not to, but I'd love to hear it if they exist.
I don't remember if this was T2A or UOR or if you can still do it in UO, but this is definitely a thing that happened. Always opening exploding doors in lich lords. On my shard they removed the door to the lich lords entirely because people were hiding pets in the "guard" status (not sure if that works here either) and trapping it to make people run into it and get killed.
I think "guard" was removed before the UOR heyday. It was problematic (to OSI) for a number of reasons. That is one I've not heard of, but I like it. What about Magic Lock? Was that ever able to be used on doors?
Seems legit. It's a lock and/or latch system, it should be able to be trapped. I wouldn't mind seeing that possible on dungeon containers and towns, etc. Perhaps an NPC LoS check in town if you're trapping a town container, as it would be technically criminal to do so?
when the trap springs the tinker should get the count anyway. You know, if we had working tinker trap mechanics.
As a leet PvE'er I approve of this request. So many of the tactics I've always used to defend myself from PK's doesn't work here. No item dress invis macro, no trapped doors, no Provo onto players etc...
I believe this happened after UOR. I wouldn't call it a bug however I guess could be an enhancement. Im not really in favor of it tho.
