Just thought I'd say hello as the great god Google has sent me this way. I played UO on Europa from 1999ish until about 4 or 5 years ago, although the last few years in game were spent mostly in the middle of the sea fishing, far away from elves and samurai and all the other nonsense that finally killed off the magic for me. Since then I've flitted around from game to game finally landing in Vanguard (which I loved) although nothing has ever come close to old UO. With the news that Vanguard is being shut down I can't face playing there for its last few months so thought I'd try here. Not sure if there are any old Europans around but say hi if you see me. I can usually be seen wearing grey and hunting for my various corpses. Cat

Hey Cat, I'm from Europe ! Join the orcs on the server. They are just getting started and I'd love to get enough orcs together for a European raid crew ! Guild name is BUM (yeah i know .. ) and they are just getting started so you can get straight into training. Best advice here is what Godric said ... check the forum for ANY questions you have. VERY few things that haven't been answered here. Anything that you can't find in the forum, ask in IRC. Spending time in IRC is a great way to connect with other players, the channel is very active and well moderated. One more time : please try the forum before asking questions on IRC. Welcome, played Europa a bit as well Chislev and Ariakas were my characters there. I started on Europa when the server was released. If you played there that long I'm sure you knew Durga and XLordX? They were friends of mine when I played there, that I hung out with a lot. I know they played for more years there then myself, since I always tried out other servers.
Yea i played Europa too i too was a nobody like Bassosh but i remember that damn 6i6 crew with gork and sheepdog. I used to hang around brit blacksmiths with lord ully a lot trying to blag free armour of him !!! I enjoy it on here its quite when us Euros play so you can get to do a fair bit of farming. S3X have a number of european players and their GM Apoc is from the UK same as me and samorite. i don't know about any of the other guilds though. Welcome anyway and let me know when you are up and running and ill come hunt with you
This may be a little late... but welcome! I just started here a week and a half ago and have had a really fun time.
Hehe I was 6i6 on Ariakas, my murderer. Was probably back before you played there. XLordX was the guild leader at the time. We actually left Europa and went and played on a test server that was up all the time and had constant non stop pvp. Good times!
