Players will be able to select these from their house sign and the standard courtyard will be disabled. This will compeltely reduce the need for courtyard blockers, and reduce the item load on the server related to courtyards by 90%. Features: Allow players to select a moat from their house sign. Water/Swamp and Lava moats will be available for a small platinum fee. By default the moats will cover the courtyard and disable recall and gate travel completely. Players will be able to purchase two types of bridge addons for their houses should they have a moat. There will most likely be several bridge varieties that you can purchase. The basic bridges will be static once placed and allow players to mark on top of the bridge. The advanced bridges will have a lever that players can use once per hour to extend or retract the bridge. These will be drastically more expensive, but provide players with some additional home security. All moat related addons will be purchased from the platinum store. whatever happened to "I'd give an ethy for this?" @El Horno Just so everyone knows, if you have a compromised CY this coupon will make it 100% fresh again, and it'll look nice too. Whether you have runes that are marked in the air (due to ladders) or runes marked throughout the grass this new CY will replace every tile and block every rune ever marked. Also, you can fish from your CY. Those that have been here long enough know that patches don't always launch when initially anticipated, get your safe CY now! As Cynic stated (a little late) the patch for this could be 3 months, or it could run out another Year..... no one really knows. I am no expert on Vet Reward Cost, but the actual Platinum Cost could end up being more then what it cost here which would make this a killer Deal. lol, Cynic.... Brotha, I really coulda used this moral support "Yesterday" when this ship was slowly sinking to the bottom of Trade all day..... I do have some spare Fish-steaks though...
I got cold feet after reading everyone's replies in the other thread. I am an impulsive buyer, fortunately the first thread was a price check thread or I would be the owner of a moat . Still it is not a bad deal, we don't even know how much they will cost. They could theoretically cost more then mes even paid for it, boy, wouldn't I feel dumb then! Oh and while my ground level cy could use some refreshing(every tile is blocked by a box), my bridge is 100% secure, so it would have been more of a luxury then a necessity.
El Horno, I figured all that negative chatter not only got to you, but others as well. I did not want to pressure you on the Ethy because it was in the "price check" thread, but that might actually end up being cheap compared to what these will cost when they actually come online! This was designed to fix compromised Courtyards and be a "Gold Sync" for the Ultra Rich...correct? I highly doubt it's gonna cost as little as a "lockdown expansion", probably not as much as a "Blood Pentagram" at 1000 Platinum, but only Telamon knows.... I will get a Courtyard someday, this will help me get there, and when Moats become available I will have to Buy one like the rest of you and think... Damn!...I wish I had that "Test Moat" way back when...
A gold sink it is not as it will cost platinum to purchase. That would have been a pretty good idea for a true gold sink. 1-3 mil extra sunk into a fort/castle/keep that would be bound to the property and would go away of course if the house fell! Anyway nice sale/nice buy grats guys!
