    So I have a key.

I put in on a key ring.

I need to get it off the keyring. When I attempt to double-click either the ring or the key, the client thinks I want to unlock something.

    Can it be done?

    Figured it out.

Double click keyring. Target keyring. Keyring opens.

    Panic over.

    Boat not lost forever :D

If I had a platinum coin for every time I'd (unsuccessfully) attempted to get IRC working, I'd have enough for 1507 Runebook :D

Nevertheless, I will try yet again.

Edit: nope. Still get the same "Download Adobe Flash Player" then I get into an interminable loop of installing Flash player, and it STILL doesn't work. I need to go down the complicated route.

On the third attempt, you will be able to get into IRC... it's always 3 attempts, been this way for me since day one. Hope it works for you too.

Why not just run a virtual machine running XP.... Why force yourself to deal with OSX issues?

I may be able to help with this! My browser gives me the same exact error every time I log into IRC--the first time.

So, click the link, let it time out and tell you that you need the extension. Close the window, and try re-launching it (change the nickname once you're in). It's silly, but that works for me every single time. Apologies if this doesn't resolve it!

I'll certainly give it a try! That, and the link Wylwyrk posted.

    Cheers.
