Controlling my demon horse

Anyone have an idea of control chance with a mare at lower then GM taming GM lore? Is there a formula?

Its been my understanding that you have the be GM taming even to
buy a mare and be able to ride it. I don't think Lore is relevant unless GM taming 1st.

I may be wrong and I'm sure someone will correct if thats the case.

you don't even need 100 taming to tame it, so I'm sure that's not the case.

Nightmares require 95.1 to tame. If you have GM lore (pretty easy to GM) and say 95.1 taming (so you can at least bond your mare) you'll have about a 75% chance to control it.

Hopefully it's fairly accurate. Seems to be so far from what I've seen.
