Can't gain hiding

I can other skills like healing but my hiding will not move and yes it's turned up and others are turned down

Just incase - You wont gain hiding if you're in a house you own or are friended to.

(I think it's because you have a 100% chance of success even at 0 skill?)

Where are you training?
How long have you been training with no gains?

This is a skill that I actually recommend gaining in Ocllo bank with lots of people around.

Start naked.
At 80 put on shirts and pants
At 90 wear leather

that is not associated with hiding gains here

like most skills merely attempting, even with a fail result, you have a chance to gain

except for stealth, which is where you are partially correct

Personally, I prefer to train at a tavern. Lots of NPCs around, and they say humans around you makes you train a little faster. Plus if you lose conn, you log instantly, just like with an Inn.

Hiding takes a couple days of constant training so be patient.

Doesn't matter if there are NPCs are players around. Just don't train in your house, or against walls/blocking objects.

I didn't know walls or blocking objects made a difference.

I am not 100% sure about the objects, but walls decrease hiding difficulty here.
