Hail to all. I have heard much complaints about the difficulty of start-up for equipment and entertainment, so I have decided to create a simple unoriginal solution. I propose a clan solely dedicated to the new player to build their experience, wealth, and contacts. As you can guess I am incapable of doing such a task by myself we will need donations and sponsors. The donations can be equipment, reagents, gold, or even mounts. The sponsors will be those whom help the players become established as in taking them on quests or raiding parties whatever basically showing them the good times we all have. Other sponsors will be contacts for new player homes. This clan would not be intended for long-term enlistment. I intend to start this idea as soon as possible establishing a place for willing sponsors to drop off donations and those whom would be willing to take on new players temporarily in to their hunting, questing, war parties as well as sponsors whom want to promote their new player housing and shops. Clans whom would also be interested in taking on a permanent role will be invited to establish embassies in Stormhold for more convenience in the matter. Please post if you would be so willing to participate.
Great idea. I started something like this a few years back on a different server. Called it "Project Sanctuary" (not to diminish your idea, or build me up, just to say that I totally support this). I am new to this shard, but not to UO, so I would love to be a sponsor for training/dungeon crawls/hunting. I will also donate some gold, some magic items, bandages and arrows. I was just thinking about ripping off the Newly Established Wanderers of bygone shards, etc. Perhaps the name could find a new life here and as I have in the past, I would be a great contributor to such efforts. What I do not have, is time to manage yet another guild stone, etc. If anyone has the desire to put up a NEW (or better alternative) guild stone, please seek me out for the funds and home to get started in. I will gladly purchase the guild stone deed and allow anyone so bold, to setup shop in the A^T Training Facilities. If need be, I will also upgrade that back to the tower it once was. Cheers.
If Jebidiah doesnt want to manage the stone himself, I would be happy and willing to. I feel I have the time, but for sure see what Jebidiah thinks first. Thanks Blaise.
I dont mind managing the stone, however, if someone else is to manage it they have to be a consistent player on atleast 4 days a week to enroll new players.
Well, whoever takes the head now, rest assured, better controls are in the works. The guildstone revamp that is in patchwork process right now, will allow for multiple levels of administrative control to be granted to guild members. Hit me up whenever and I can co-own you both and get a stone dropped. I'll be offline mostly tonight but later or something.

That sounds great Wodan. We stole the name, Newly Established Wanderers and Jeremiah (Jeb's alt) is the Guildmaster of the new stone. He's got some deco done and I'm thinking some good things to have here would be bags of sewing kits, shovels and tongs perhaps? Maybe some hatchets and other relevant harvesting goods.

Still looking for Mentors to take lowlies on adventurers of hunting, farming, questing, and even pvping. This isnt something you have to attend hourly its just when you would be willing to take on a low for an adventure.
There is a duelling arena on the roof of the A^T Guild Hall, a few screens north as well, just past the rune library.
