That belongs to @Wulver if it's near Yew moongate.

    No 10k necessary.

We should really apply the account must be logged in in the last 60 days to refresh rule... Its much longer on other servers but 60-90 is fair

90 sounds fair but yes it should be on for sure

I'm fairly certain @Wulver handles his own refreshing. He isn't active because of his military duties. It would be a safe guess that he would have no interest right now in selling that statue.

Adding in a 60 day rule will just encourage account sharing to handle the refreshing.

I concur - pretty sure Wulver does his own refreshing.

I think that using somebody else account is forbidden, even just to refresh. 3 accounts per IP.

I think that's his point. While I support the idea of condemned house status, I do agree that it would encourage illegal account sharing. That being said, people that will be gone for a long time have probably already given someone else their account info for refreshing.

honestly, people that are gone should sell most of their stuff or bank it in the 15 chars bank they have = 1875 items
houses are for the people who actually play and enjoy the shard
right now you have just less fun for the people who play and can't access a large numbers of good house spots, for a hypothetical return of some others players... it's irrational and can kill a shard.

That's a bit overboard. People who are gone may not have any control over their circumstances, for example:
    • A more demanding work schedule.
    • A new child.
    • A new marriage.
    • A military assignment.
    • An illness.

There's no rule that states a player must play X amounts hours per month to be defined as someone who "actually plays" here and is worthy to own property. We simply don't know why someone's not active, nor is it really any of our business.

The irrational thing here would be to punish someone for not playing. That kind of policy is what would actually kill a shard.

I think this discussion should be moved elsewhere. Multiple folks have indicated Wulver does this own refreshing, and actually may be deployed at the moment. No need to loop him into this.

No we most definately dont want any of these kinds of rules.

I love the fact that I can leave for 2 years and come back with all my stuff. Sure housing is what it is, but what would IDOCS be if they werent!

I always log in and refresh it myself. I was deployed with questionable internet and my crappy laptop, but I'm just enjoying some DAOC free shard now. Sometimes I log in to run around and kill people or just listen to the music. I did sell more than half of my homes but held onto the 3 I enjoyed most.
