Quick suggestion: You should be able to equip your newb pants under your armor so you don't have to keep it in your backpack until you get killed.

Its not era-appropriate, but I see no reason why not as it has no effect on gameplay. Just have any pants slot armor overwrite the graphic the same way fancy shirt is. Basically: Pants should function the way fancy shirts do, but for your legs. After all, you don't have to remove your shoes to wear plate legs so there is no reason you should have to remove your pants. I view this as pure oversight on OSI's part rather than any intentional choice to nerf pants.

Kilts and doublets already work the same way, just in reverse.

Anyone else want to add support for this idea?

Haha it amazes me to learn I'm not the only one who has been thinking about this!

Yeah I fully support this. I never understood why it was like that, because clothing doesn't give any AR points.

    In this era.

Definitely always found it annoying myself.

But then pants would be overpowered. Practically trammel.

Actually, it's real world renaissance era accurate! If you were going to wear a heavy metal armor back there, you would wear some kind of cotton pants UNDER the armor (i forgot the name, but there's a name :p), or you would hurt yourself only by wearing the armour itself!
